YouSound is a music platform built to help artists earn more, build stronger communities, and better understand their audience. It combines fair-pay streaming, community-driven discovery, direct artist monetization, and AI-powered insights into one connected experience.

Subscribers pay a monthly fee for streaming. Artists earn directly from the subscribers who listen to them. Our model measures usage and engagement to determine which artists each subscriber listens to most, then distributes that subscriber's payment among the artists they support.

Unlike traditional streaming platforms, YouSound doesn't use a simple pay-per-stream model. Instead, a portion of each subscriber's membership is allocated to the artists they genuinely listen to using our proprietary streaming model. Rather than treating every stream as equally valuable, the model looks at each subscriber's listening behavior to understand which artists they meaningfully supported during the month. For some listeners, a single intentional play may be meaningful. For listeners who play music throughout the day, it may take more listening before an artist represents a meaningful share of that listener's activity. The important difference is that repetition alone does not create unlimited economic value. Each listener represents a finite amount of value, which is distributed across the artists they genuinely supported based on their listening relationships. This creates an economy where artists can grow through both breadth and genuine connection. Established artists can earn more through the large audiences they've built, while independent artists can generate meaningful revenue from smaller, dedicated communities without requiring millions of streams. Your audience belongs to you. Every follower, listener, purchase, conversation, recommendation, and interaction is visible to you. We don't hide your audience behind black-box analytics or lock your data inside our platform. You can explore your data using natural language, understand how people found your music, identify your biggest supporters, and build relationships directly with your audience. You can even ask YouSound to recommend a specific song to a specific audience. Recommendation campaigns run for up to 14 days, one song at a time, and you can track impressions, plays, monetized plays, and overall campaign performance—all at no additional cost.

Everything. Every play, recommendation, follow, purchase, playlist, conversation, and interaction is connected to the people behind it, giving you the context traditional analytics leave out. Instead of asking "How many people listened?" you can ask: Who discovered me through this playlist? Which listeners became paying supporters? Who keeps coming back every week? Which cities are growing the fastest? Which artists do my biggest fans also listen to? Which recommendation campaign performed best? Simply ask in natural language, then drill into the results, explore the audience behind the data, and take action—whether that's contacting listeners, launching a recommendation campaign, finding collaborators, or understanding what's actually driving growth. YouSound's recommendation system is designed to help music find the people most likely to genuinely connect with it—not simply reinforce what is already popular. New music is given opportunities to be discovered, smaller artists aren't automatically disadvantaged by having fewer historical streams, and listener response helps the system learn where real musical relationships are forming. When people meaningfully engage with a song, that behavior can help the network understand where else the music may belong and introduce it to more relevant listeners over time. YouSound also distinguishes between simply recording activity and deciding how much that activity should influence the network. Repetitive plays, artificial activity, or raw popularity alone aren't intended to give a recording unlimited influence over discovery. As more genuine listening happens, YouSound builds a deeper understanding of the relationships between listeners, recordings, artists, and communities. This allows recommendations to become more relevant over time while continuing to create opportunities for new and emerging music to be discovered.

YouSound makes streaming fraud economically impractical. Every play is tied to a real account and only qualifying plays from paying subscribers generate royalties. Because creating artificial streams requires real subscriptions, attempting to inflate play counts quickly becomes more expensive than it's worth. We also don't display public play counts, removing much of the incentive to inflate numbers for social proof. Instead, artists are rewarded based on genuine listener support, ensuring subscription revenue flows to the music people actually choose to hear.

No. Any artist account can upload music to YouSound and build an unlimited catalog without a paid subscription. To protect the platform from spam while encouraging intentional publishing, verified free artists can publish up to two new releases per month. Pro and higher plans increase your publishing velocity, allowing you to release music more frequently. Unverified accounts are limited to 10 published tracks and 60 minutes of published audio, and cannot collect revenue, or become eligible for discovery until they're verified. This approach keeps publishing accessible for everyone while protecting discovery from abuse.

Yes. If you receive creator payouts on YouSound (streaming, product sales, or paid rooms), that income is generally taxable and you are responsible for reporting it. We collect required tax information (for example W-9 or W-8) before payouts, and we issue Forms 1099 / 1042-S when reporting thresholds apply. Your Social Security number or other TIN is encrypted and stored in our secured tax vault — we never display the full number after you save it.

No. YouSound isn't a music distributor—we're the platform where your music is streamed, discovered, shared, and monetized. Keeping listening on YouSound is what allows us to provide higher-paying streaming, direct community, and deep audience intelligence in one system. You're free to release your music anywhere else you choose.

YouSound doesn't require exclusivity, and artists should distribute their music in whatever way best supports their goals. YouSound was designed, however, so that artists don't have to rely on being everywhere to build a meaningful career. Bring the listeners who already care about your music to one place where they can listen, follow you, join your community, communicate with you, and support your work directly. Our streaming model is designed to make genuine listener relationships economically meaningful without requiring an artist to generate enormous play counts. This gives artists greater freedom to release at the pace that makes sense for their work, whether that means releasing frequently or taking more time between projects. YouSound also brings together capabilities that artists have traditionally had to manage across multiple platforms. Streaming, community, audience intelligence, direct communication, discovery, and artist tools operate within the same network. As your audience develops, you can understand who's responding to your music, learn where meaningful connections are forming, and use that intelligence to reach additional listeners who may care about what you've made. Discovery is designed to prioritize genuine listening rather than artificial activity or sheer volume, and artists have direct access to the intelligence generated around their music rather than having to rely solely on aggregate analytics or paid promotion to understand and reach their audience. The goal isn't to limit where your music can exist. It's to give artists a place where listening can become a relationship, relationships can become a community, and that community can become the foundation of a sustainable career. We don't try to detect AI-generated music. Instead, we design the platform so mass uploads don't overwhelm discovery. Publishing on YouSound is intentionally paced. Verified artists can build unlimited catalogs, but new releases are rate-limited based on account status, making large-scale automated publishing impractical. Publishing alone also doesn't create discovery. Music earns visibility through verification, human curation, and genuine listener engagement—not simply by uploading more tracks. AI-generated music can exist on YouSound, but it can't dominate discovery through volume alone. Our focus is rewarding authentic listening and giving every release a fair opportunity to reach its audience.

Stream counts are private by design. Artists have complete access to their own streaming analytics, earnings, and audience data, but that information isn't displayed publicly. We believe listening statistics are business metrics, not social metrics. Just as most businesses don't publicly disclose their revenue or customer analytics, artists should have the choice over what performance information they share. Music should be discovered through listening, not by comparing numbers.

Yes. If you own the rights to your music, you can upload previously released tracks to YouSound. If your release has collaborators, they simply need to have a YouSound account and accept their collaboration invitation before the release becomes active. Revenue is then automatically split according to the agreed ownership percentages, ensuring everyone is paid transparently.

Every collaborator must have a YouSound account. To collaborate on a release, artists must mutually follow each other before uploading the track. During the upload process, simply invite your collaborators, who will receive a collaboration request to review and accept. Once all collaborators have accepted, the original uploader must manually publish the release. Revenue is then automatically distributed according to the ownership percentages you've assigned. Collaborators can also be added after a release has been published. However, the original uploader is responsible for any revenue generated before those collaborators are added, as revenue splits are not applied retroactively. This ensures every collaborator has agreed to participate, ownership is transparent, and everyone is paid directly and fairly according to the agreed ownership of the release.

Everyone receives a free chat room when they sign up. Pro members can also create paid rooms and sell digital products, with paid room subscriptions ranging from $1 to $1,000 per month. The maximum price you can charge for a room increases as your account becomes more established on YouSound. Newer accounts begin with lower pricing limits, while accounts with a longer history on the platform can unlock higher subscription prices over time. This helps protect members from newly created accounts immediately offering high-priced subscriptions while giving established creators greater flexibility as they build their presence and community. YouSound is free to use. You can discover music, save tracks, build playlists, follow artists, and message other users at no cost. A subscription is only required for full-length streaming; free users can listen to song previews.

Listener Perfect for music fans. Includes unlimited streaming, messaging, playlists, and artist discovery. Pro (Most Popular) Built for artists and content creators, but anyone can upgrade to Pro. Includes everything in the Listener plan, plus the ability to sell digital products, create paid chat rooms, access AI-powered analytics and intelligence, and 2 GB of storage. Music publishing is available exclusively to artist accounts, with Pro artists able to publish up to 8 releases per month. All Pro members, whether they release music or not, can take advantage of YouSound’s community, commerce, and creator tools. Pro Plus For growing artists who need additional storage, AI usage, higher publishing velocity (20 releases/month), and higher platform limits. Unlimited includes our highest level of access, generous Orbit AI usage, and uncapped media storage. Most members can simply use their plan normally. If your Orbit usage exceeds what's included, additional AI usage is billed separately and shown transparently in your account. Any Orbit billing issue only pauses Orbit—it doesn't affect the rest of your Unlimited subscription.

While your account is active: Messages and YouSound shares (tracks, albums, and other in-app shares) remain available. We do not auto-delete that chat content on a schedule today. After you delete your account: We remove or anonymize personal data from operational systems promptly. Messages content may be retained for a short period after account closure (about 30 days for Free/Listener, and up to about 90 days for paid plans), then permanently deleted—except where longer retention is required for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Published music: Music you own in your catalog is removed when your account is deleted. If you were only a collaborator on someone else's release, that release stays available and your share of future YouSound revenue is proportionally reallocated among the remaining rights holders. Earnings already accrued under the prior split are never changed.

No, your messages are private and secure, but they are not encrypted. We prioritize transparency over privacy. This platform is designed for artists and creators and their supporters to maintain appropriate conversations. Our moderation team can access messages when necessary to ensure community safety and enforce content policies.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. You can resubscribe anytime to restore full access.
